The journey from an ordinary mind to an illuminated mind

What is an ordinary mind?

It’s the mind that never stops thinking, the one that wakes up already tired. A mind that feels overwhelmed, that constantly judges, often without noticing. A mind caught in old wounds, in negativity, in comparison, in apathy. A mind that no longer dreams, that refuses to learn new things, that has become rigid, disconnected from joy. It’s a mind that suffers.

Now, what is an illuminated mind?

It’s a mind that radiates light and cheerfulness. It wakes up with enthusiasm, like a child, full of curiosity. It feels clear, fresh, and healthy. It has forgiven. It has healed its story with mother, father, sexuality, relationships, and the body.
It knows it’s capable, that everything is possible. It is wise, not from theory but from having walked through fire and seen for itself. It longs to share, to love, to create. It is a mind that has remembered its purpose.

So how do we switch from one to the other?

Welcome to the hero’s journey. Yes, your very own life. When you read a book that stirs you or watch a film that moves you, it’s because something inside you has been moved, has resonated. A part that has been asleep wants to awaken. Maybe you’ve spent years watching from the sidelines… But this text is your call to step on stage. Imagine your life as a grand theater. What role do you want to play? Main character? Supporting? Invisible? Now take pen and paper. Write your script. How would you like to dress?
How would you like to love? Who would you like to share your life with? When you’re done, send that script to the sky, to the great director of the universe. And like all great actors and actresses, memorize your lines. Walk like your character. Breathe like them. Bring it to acting class, to dance, to voice, to public speaking. Make it yours. Make it real. Now ask yourself.

What excuses have been feeding you lately?
“I don’t have time.”
“I don’t have money.”
“That’s not realistic.”
That’s your ordinary mind talking. But if, while reading this, something in you quietly says yes, then the journey has already begun. This path is not easy. It’s not linear.
It’s not cheap. But it is possible. And like any mastery, it requires dedication, patience, and good mentors. Think of the years you’ve already devoted to a profession, to a talent, to a career.

What if now you dedicated at least some years with depth to healing your mind, your body, your soul?
Deep meditation and deep therapy are two pillars of this transformation. Not the quick-fix kind. Not ten minutes of silence or a few comforting words. I mean the kind that pierces through your story, shakes your bones, and brings you back to life. Yes, the pain and the shadow are part of the process. But it’s right there, precisely there, where the light waits for you. Before we can enter the pain and heal it, we need to grow in light, in voltage, in presence.

That’s the art I propose.
I invite you to write your life script. To read it each morning. To act it out with presence and passion. And to seek wise mentors, those who’ve walked the road and can hold you with strength and compassion.

As I shared in my first book WITHIN, I too had to travel, invest, and walk through fire to heal my mind and body. But now, at 55 years old, I can say: it was the best investment I ever made. Today, I live with joy, clarity, and inner peace. And I guide others who are ready to take the leap. Through my 9-day meditation retreats and my weekly therapeutic work, I hold the space for those who wish to walk toward an illuminated mind.

Will you join me?

I will welcome you with open arms, clear vision and gratitude.

FAQ

An ordinary mind is a state of consciousness dominated by constant thinking, emotional reactivity, and unconscious patterns. It often feels overwhelmed, tired, and disconnected from joy and purpose. This mind tends to judge, compare, and repeat past conditioning without awareness. Over time, it can become rigid and limited, operating on autopilot rather than conscious choice, leading to a sense of dissatisfaction and inner conflict.

An illuminated mind is a state of clarity, presence, and inner vitality that emerges through deep self-awareness and healing. It is no longer dominated by past wounds or reactive patterns, but grounded in understanding, openness, and purpose. This mind feels lighter, more creative, and connected to life. Its wisdom comes not from theory, but from direct experience, allowing for a more conscious, compassionate, and authentic way of living.

This transformation requires a committed inner journey that includes self-observation, emotional healing, and consistent practices such as meditation and therapy (body, mind, spirit). It involves facing unresolved pain, releasing limiting patterns, and developing greater awareness of thoughts and behaviors. Over time, with patience and discipline, the mind becomes less reactive and more present. This gradual process leads to a deeper sense of clarity, freedom, and alignment with one’s true nature.

Guidance is essential because the process of inner transformation often involves navigating complex emotional and psychological layers. Without support, it is easy to remain stuck in familiar patterns or misunderstand deeper experiences. A skilled mentor or therapist provides perspective, structure, and stability, helping to integrate difficult insights and maintain direction. This support accelerates the process and ensures that transformation happens in a grounded and sustainable way.

Common obstacles include resistance to change, fear of facing inner pain, limiting beliefs, and lack of consistency in practice. The ordinary mind often seeks comfort in familiar patterns, even if they are limiting. External distractions and the desire for quick results can also slow progress. Recognizing these obstacles as part of the process allows individuals to approach them with awareness and patience, rather than becoming discouraged or giving up.

Developing an illuminated mind is a gradual and ongoing process rather than a fixed destination. Some insights and shifts can occur quickly, but deeper transformation requires time, commitment, and continuous practice. The pace varies for each individual depending on their life history, openness, and dedication. What matters most is consistency over time, as sustained effort leads to lasting clarity, inner stability, and a more conscious way of being.
